The little boy asked for a Polar bear.
His mom said, “Do some research then! What do Polar bears eat? Where would it live? Where would it go in the summer?”
“Ok! Can I borrow your computer?” said the boy.
“Mom, I don’t think a polar bear would stay alive very well here. Can I get a hamster instead?”
“I think that’s a good idea. Let’s get a white one and name him Polar bear.”
She didn’t say no right away.
She gave him the freedom to explore.
And then she kept his hope alive.
